Corrections log

Substantive corrections to CrawlerBros pages, with the date, the page, what changed, and the source. Typo fixes are not logged.

Last updated 2 min readBy CrawlerBros Editorial

This log records substantive corrections: changes that alter what a reader would conclude, a code sample that no longer works, a fact that was wrong, or a source that was misread. Typo fixes, broken-link replacements, and formatting changes are made without an entry.

If you find an error, email corrections@crawlerbros.com with the URL and the source that shows the correct version. See the editorial policy for how corrections are handled.

Correction log

No substantive corrections have been logged since the relaunch on 2 November 2026. This is a new site; an empty log is the honest state, not a claim that nothing will ever be wrong.

When an entry is added, it will look like this:

Date Page What changed Source

Site changes (not corrections)

These are structural changes, recorded so the history is clear:

Date Change
2026-11-02 Relaunched as an independent reference. Retired 1,830 legacy product URLs with single-hop 301s where a neutral successor exists; 404 for the rest. The full inventory is in reports/relaunch/inventory.csv.
2026-11-02 Removed all product ratings, prices, affiliate links, and Actor promotion from the published site.
2026-11-02 Published the first reproducible study, robots.txt in the top 1,000 Tranco domains, with dataset and code.

How to report a problem

  1. Check the page’s last updated date.
  2. Send the URL, the exact sentence or code, and a link to the primary source.
  3. If the issue is a security problem, say “security” in the subject and do not test against data you do not own.
  4. If the issue is accessibility, include the browser and assistive technology you used.

We aim to acknowledge substantive reports within five working days.
